The safest bet is to hardcode the subtitles directly in the video. Since my son often performs in German and many of friends and my family are in Canada, this means Lucia and I would like to be able to put subtitles on our videos for them. Unfortunately, for personal users in Europe, the Facebook video subtitle/caption feature is not available, despite still being referenced in the interface. Facebook even offers a bunch of documentation online about adding subtitles/captions to videos posted on their platform. Apparently at one point the Facebook video caption feature worked pretty well. If you try it and like it, iSubtitle can be purchased for $19.Facebook promised captions for their videos. Click this bubble to enable subtitles and select the language of your choice. Notice while playing the video you now have a little text bubble in the controller. Click the Export button on the toolbar then select the device you wish to convert formats for from the popup menu.ĭrag the saved file into iTunes to add it to your library. If your video is not in an iTunes compatible format iSubtitle offers converting capabilities as well. It won't take long to add the subtitles to the video. Name the file and make sure Save as a Self-Contained Movie is selected. If your video is already in an iTunes compatible format simply select Save from the File Menu. Now notice the preview shows the correctly formatted text. In our example the correct encoding was Hebrew (ISO 8859-8). Now return to the garbled subtitle track and select the correct encoding from the dropdown. Scan through the extensive list of encodings and select the ones you frequently use then close the Preferences window. Its okay if it's not there because thankfully iSubtitle includes a much more extensive list of encodings in the Preferences.Ĭlick to select Preferences from the iSubtitle Menu. If iSubtitle is still not able to guess the encoding with correct language set, try looking through the encoding dropdown to find the proper setting. When we preview the clip the text is still displayed as garble even though the language is set correctly. In this case the subtitle is actually in Hebrew so lets change the language dropdown to Hebrew. Notice the subtitle is detected as French. Select the subtitle file then click the Open button. For example, middle eastern languages occasionally pose a problem.Ĭlick the + button to add another subtitle. Sometimes iSubtitle might not be able to detect the language or encoding. You can use the + button to specify additional subtitle tracks in different languages. If the sync is off you can use the Time Offset up and down buttons to correct it. Make sure these are correct then play a bit of the movie to see if the subtitles are in sync with the dialog. iSubtitle will try to guess the language and encoding of the subtitle file. Notice a new subtitle track is added to the list. Select the subtitle file you would like to add then click the Open button. To add subtitles to the video click the + button at the bottom of the Subtitles tab in the Settings side panel. If its not visible click the Settings button on the toolbar to open it. There should be a Settings side panel to the right of the video. Select the movie or video you would like to add subtitles to, then click the Open button.Ī video player will appear with your movie already loaded. Double click the downloaded dmg file to mount it.ĭrag the iSubtitle application into your Applications folder to install it.ĭouble click the iSubtitle icon in your Applications folder to launch the program.

Held traditionally since the early 1800s, coinciding with the ‘Golden Week’ holidays of Greenery Day and Children’s Day, the festival pits Zama and Sagamihara cities against each other as each team tries to hoist their massive kite into the air for the longest possible time. And thus, it makes you more creative, as you learn how to adapt to the changes in the wind.A large kite, supported by over 50 members of a local Zama City fire department, takes flight during the Sagamihara ‘Giant Kite festival’ May 4th, 2023. GP Rooms need a desk and filing cabinet for example, although rooms can soon become much more complicated than that. In these types of games, players want the ability to take complete control of as many factors as they can and Two Point Hospital delivers on that front.Īt its most basic level, you will be building rooms and stocking them with the necessary items so that they can function properly. This sense of freedom is an important ingredient that many other simulators fail to grasp. There are some bare essentials that you always have to take into account but, for the most part, players are given free rein over how they want their hospitals to look and work. Players are given an empty building and are allowed to populate it with rooms and items as they see fit. In terms of gameplay, Two Point Studios follows pretty much the same concept as Theme Hospital. There is also some great satire on health, medicine, and the modern world in general, with the hospital announcer in particular coming out with a slurry of funny lines. I’ve already spoken about the diseases and the silly puns that make up their names, yet this is not where the humor ends. While it may not be on a level with the likes of The Secret of Monkey Island or Portal, there are still plenty of good gags. Impressively, the developers have managed to actually make Two Point Hospital funny. In total, there are dozens of illnesses that you’ll have to contend with as diagnosing and treating them is the ultimate aim of the game. Other illnesses include jest infection, mock star, and pandemic, where patients will be dressed as clowns, think they are Freddie Mercury, or have a pan stuck to their heads. Most players will let out a chuckle the first time they see someone come in with lightheadedness and need the lightbulb on their head screwed off. Most of them are a play on words and almost all of them are delightfully silly. Just like in Theme Hospital, which had conditions such as Bloaty Head, this game features a variety of fictional diseases rather than using real-world examples. Big pharma is in luck in the world of Two Point Hospital though, because there are plenty of different afflictions that require all kinds of treatments. Thankfully, the developers grab the opportunity firmly with both hands.Ī hospital without any diseases to cure would be pretty useless. Now that it’s releasing on consoles after an initial PC launch in 2018, it’s a great opportunity to attract a whole new audience and firmly establish the franchise in the simulator genre. They have developed Two Point Hospital with the plan of releasing further simulator games in the future within the same shared universe. This includes producer Mark Webley, lead designer Gary Carr, and musical composer Russell Shaw. Many of the people who worked at Bullfrog Productions and had a hand in creating Theme Hospital are involved in this latest effort. Balance your workforce with your ambitions as you strive to make profit (and hopefully save some people along the way).Acting as a spiritual successor to the highly popular sim Theme Hospital, Two Point Hospital is the first game to come out of British developer Two Point Studios. You’ll be managing staff with unique personality types and traits, so you’ll need to keep an eye on who’s being efficient – and who is just a pain in the neck. Adjust the price of your treatments, keep an eye on your turnover, take out loans and optimise your earnings. Make use of the extensive statistic and information screens to analyse your strengths and weaknesses, and make rapid alterations. Once you’ve conquered an illness, research improved cures and machines and turn your hospital into an unstoppable healthcare juggernaut. Diagnose illnesses, build the right rooms to handle them, hire the right staff, and then get ready, because curing just one of these illnesses is just the beginning. In this world, you’ll experience all kinds of unusual illnesses from Light-headedness to Cubism – each requiring their very own special type of treatment machine. Don’t expect Two Point County to be populated with your usual types of patients. Place decorative and functional items around your hospital to improve its prestige, lower patient boredom, increase happiness and keep those end of year awards flowing in. Expand your hospital to multiple buildings as you look to get as many patients through the door as possible. Optimise your hospital design to increase patient (and cash) flow, arranging corridors, rooms and waiting areas to your exact specifications. About Game Two Point Hospital Free Download (v1.29.52)īuild up a hospital from nothing to a masterpiece as you design the most beautiful – or functional – healthcare operation in the whole of Two Point County. No one seems to talk about it or suggest what it might be, so it’s up to you to figure it out by travelling to the mountain peak in the Kiiruberg mountains. To get there, though, you have to make your way through four areas, each of which requires you to collect enough stars before you can get a free bus pass to the next area. To get a star, you have to help the people who live there. This is where your dynamic-zoom camera comes in, because you’re going to be helping people by taking pictures. Getting to the Toem, is of course, a token objective. This game is very much more about the journey than the destination. It’s about exploring such place as Stanhamn, a seaside town with beaches and a hydro plant, or Logville, a big and busy city.įor each major zone you visit, you’ll explore various bite-sized areas filled with characters and props. Many of the characters will offer you a star for helping them out, but you can also earn stars by completing photography challenges or bringing the right object. The game’s minimalistic visuals extend to the world and characters as well. Each character speaks only about as much as necessary, but not without flavour. Surprises await you constantly, such as the strange submarine that wants you to take pictures of a suspicious character, or the family of balloons that’s lost the birthday kid to the wind. Toem, the game, is built to feel tactile and analogue. This much is clear from the old-school camera and your music player, the ‘Hidelady’, which plays cassette tapes that are unlocked as you explore.
